THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT

The name Jezebel can mean “without cohabitation” as well as “chaste”, which is actually the picture a Jezebelan woman will try to paint for you. A woman with the Jezebel spirit refuses to submit to godly authority. She is rebellious, domineering, controlling, cold and calculating. However, Jezebel hides behind a mask; only those closest to her see the monster behind the smiling face. A Jezebel has earned her PhD in manipulation; she is a con artist and Oscar worthy actress. Her carefully contrived public image fools many. Men can also be oppressed by this spirit (study King Saul’s story in 1 Samuel chapters 10 through 31) but it generally prefers to use women.
The psychological terms narcissist (including all personality types), borderline personality and even sociopath accurately describe a Jezebel. Her histrionics, ridiculous made up stories, violent temper and inability to ever admit when she is wrong (even when she’s faced with proof or caught red handed) is very typically Jezebel. People with this spirit have an obsessive need to control everyone and everything around them; hoarding, compulsive shopping and other obsessive compulsive disorders are quite common in Jezebels. It is important to remember, this is the spirit controlling and using the person affected. My grandmother was a devout Catholic but she was also Jezebel.
A woman with the Jezebel spirit completely emasculates her husband and sons and abuses her daughters out of jealousy, without even realizing on a conscious level that she is doing it. There are, however, witches who are well within their full faculties and know exactly what they are doing. Some pretend to be very spiritual people but are just looking for victims. Please pray for discernment.
It derives its name from the evil queen written about in 1 Kings 16:31 through 2 Kings 9. Archaeologists have discovered the ivory tower thought to be Jezebel’s, along with a jar of fetuses with the inscription “These keep me young.” Her daughter proves to be just as vicious at her introduction (2 Kings 11:1.) There is also an example in the New Testament of a woman with the Jezebel spirit: Queen Herodias, who had John the Baptist jailed and executed (Mark 6:17-28.) This spirit is not solely identifiable through royalty, however. Eve was the first Jezebel when she defied YHVH’s command and convinced her husband to do the same (Genesis 3:6). Sarah forced her husband, Abraham to give her a child through her handmaid only to later insist he leave the child and his mother to fend for themselves in Genesis 16:4-21:14. Rebecca exhibited Jezebelan behavior in Genesis 27:5-10. Her daughter-in-law, Rachel also reflects the cunning and manipulative ways of a Jezebel in Genesis 31:19-35. And the rebellious women who defied YHVH’s orders (yet again) in Jeremiah 44:15-19 also perfectly demonstrate this spirit.
The Leviathan spirit (pride) is one of its strongholds and must be addressed first. This is precisely why it is so difficult for its victim to be set free: pride and vanity get in the way and try to block deliverance. The spirit of Legion is the other stronghold that must be addressed. Legion causes many deep rooted issues from the abusive childhood that the victim of a Jezebelan parent endures.
There are curses placed over us as children by our Jezebelan parents. Remember, the spirit is extremely jealous of any other woman and will cause the mother to be jealous of her own daughter. Looking back and knowing what I know now, there is no doubt in my mind that my grandmother cursed my womb (which had been revealed by another prophet to me) and that my mother cursed me with acne, so that I would always live in the shadow of her beauty. You can release yourself from any of Jezebel’s curses as well as bind them so that they are never passed on to your descendants by simply praying those curses to be sealed prophetically (before it’s appointed time) at your death by praying A Prayer For The Dying.
Obsessive compulsive behavior as a form of control develops in the child. Jezebel’s victims suffer from low self esteem and depression. He or she also develops a strong fantasy life and retreats from reality as a defense mechanism. All of this behavior is carried into adulthood, and the victim most often develops body image issues and may battle anorexia or bulimia. They may also suffer from bouts of insomnia, another control issue. C-PTSD is very common due to the narcissistic abuse. Take heart: deliverance is possible for all of this.
Jezebel’s familiar spirits are rejection, abandonment, paranoia stemming from rejection, schizophrenia (wearing a mask in public and being someone else in private), whoredoms, murderous rage, abortion (remember the jar found that I mentioned above?) and death. Witchcraft is often used to control her victim/protege. She also keeps her victim in bondage to the spirit of fear. Victims may develop a fascination with the occult: these are the spirits of death and witchcraft at work. This all must be addressed and cast out, and toxic soul ties to the Jezebel must be severed.

The Lord gave me three very interesting revelations of the Jezebel spirit. The first was the vision of an octopus. It’s tentacles not only squeeze the life out of you but also keep family members in constant strife through lies and manipulation. It is important to not take a Jezebel’s word as true and keep open communication with the very people she tries to keep you from contacting. Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth (Proverbs 26:20). The second was a vision of Semiramis and Tammuz (Ezekiel 8:14). The famous Queen of Heaven (see the verse from Jeremiah mentioned above) and her son are often depicted as the “Holy Mother and Son” worshipped in the Catholic church. Jezebelan mothers will have a twisted relationship with their sons, oftentimes turning them into son husbands who then cannot have a healthy relationship with his wife. Please see The Ahab Spirit for further clarification. Lastly, He revealed that Jezebel works with Molech, the sexual predator and devourer of the youth. A Jezebel gets a sick thrill by terrorizing her children: it feeds her need for power and control. Molech also feeds off these children’s fear. It’s absolutely horrifying and disgusting.

Jezebel can enter through trauma such as rape and molestation, but more often than not it is in the bloodline. When you see a family with a long history of controlling, manipulative women it is quite obvious this generational curse has a hold on that bloodline. When Jezebel enters through sexual trauma, the victims of molestation and rape grow to hate men in general: this is Jezebel at work. And it is just setting up the victim’s future generations.

Freedom is possible. I come from a long line of Jezebels and suffered at the hands of a Jezebelan (covert narcissist) grandmother and a Jezebelan (malignant narcissist/borderline) mother. I myself have been a full blown Jezebel who married not one, but two Ahabs. Yet I have been completely set free. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). I strongly recommend completing a twenty one day fast and following the step by step instructions to sever soul ties and break generational curses, found in the Self Deliverance post.

Warfare Prayer:
Father, I thank you for opening my eyes to what has been blinding me. I wish to free myself from this destructive spirit that has caused me and my loved ones so much pain and suffering. Right now I come against the strongman, Leviathan. Unwrap yourself from around the base of my spine and stomach. I scale you and cut off your head and tail. The sword of the Spirit cuts you into pieces. I burn your head and body in Holy Spirit fire which utterly consumes you.
Next I call you out, Legion. You will no longer compel me to lash out at myself or convince me I am less than a beautiful child of God that was fearfully and wonderfully created (Psalm 139:14). I put an end to my fantasy life, casting down vain imaginations and taking all thoughts captive to Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Now I bind Jezebel. I pry you out of your hiding place (generally the woman’s ovaries and reproductive organ). I cast you out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I tear apart every demonic altar and grove (Deuteronomy 16:21, 1 Kings 16:31-32, 1 Kings 18:19). I bind and cast out the temple prostitutes and loosen purity, grace, love and humility over myself.

Father, I bind and cast out the multiple spirits of witchcraft placed in me at conception. I renounce and sever every tie to any demon I had ever been dedicated to. I remove any and every demonic item fed to me as a child (witches will put crushed glass, hair, nail clippings; I’ve even heard of one use her newborn’s dried umbilical cord that fell off her navel) from my body; Lord, dissolve it in the natural and burn it in the spirit with the fire of the Holy Ghost. I cast out all familiar spirits of (name them one by one as listed above, plus any that the Holy Spirit brings to light).

Lastly, I break every toxic soul tie to every Jezebel that has ever been connected to me in the past and who has been until this very moment. I am free from every last one; they no longer have any legal rights to me nor can they control me anymore. Holy Spirit, do a clean sweep in me. Set me completely free and make me whole. May the pact this bloodline has now made with You never be broken. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I declare it to be so. Amen.

CHARISMATIC WITCHCRAFT

I would like to address some unbiblical practices that have become commonplace in charismatic churches today. I am unabashedly charismatic so please understand that this is in no way an attack on this particular denomination. However, it grieves my spirit to see charismatic witchcraft being embraced by the church. Let us study one by one some of these demonic manifestations.

Drunk in the spirit: be very careful when you hear charismatic leaders use terms that remind you of a particular bible verse but is not the actual verse. The term “drunk in the spirit” probably refers to Pentecost, when the apostles were accused of being drunk while under the anointing of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:13). It may sound similar but is in fact quite different. The verse itself says they were mocked for appearing to be drunk. Peter, being completely sober clarified for them in verse 15 that they were in fact not drunk. He went on to explain that it was simply prophecy being fulfilled (verses 15-18). The remainder of that chapter reveals that after this revelation thousands came to Christ. How many visitors in church come to Christ seeing christians acting “drunk in the spirit”? Remember to test the spirit (1 John 4:1) by the Word itself. What does the Word say? Well, for one, self control is a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:23).

Signs and wonders: in the very same chapter of the book of Acts the term signs and wonders is referenced (Acts 2:19). Charismatic christians are quick to get excited over signs and wonders in the church. Again, I ask you to test the spirit. Compare gold dust, gold tooth fillings, holy laughter or any “signs and wonders” you have witnessed for yourself with the verse named above. Can you honestly say one has anything to do with the other? Be very careful. I am not saying that miracles cannot occur: of course they can and still do. Christ said it, so I believe it (John 14:12). I have no problem with miraculous healing and deliverance, and I welcome an outpouring of the Holy Spirit over His followers. It is the completely unbiblical nonsense I see in the modern church that I find deeply disturbing.

False tongues: Some feel pressured to speak in tongues and just babble. Then there are others who (whether knowingly or not) speak in demonic tongues. It is alarming to me that the body of Christ is seriously lacking in discernment. I always say it is free for the asking.

Laying on of hands: this practice is based on Acts 6:6, 8:17 and 9:17. Read on a little further and you will see just how quickly some look to profane such a holy act (8:18-22). [Christians commonly misquote 1 Tim 5:22 believing it to be within the same context; in reality it is a reference to naming leadership in the church.] You are under no obligation to have anyone lay hands on you. If you do not know the person or feel uneasy when someone offers to lay hands on you, feel free to politely decline. If the person gets offended it is an issue they need to work out with the Lord. Also, keep in mind witches and satanists attend church, as well. They pantomime worship, pretending to be born again while eagerly searching for christians to lay hands on in order to transfer demons and demonic tongues.

Kundalini spirit: this demon plagues Pentecostal churches in particular. Remember, Satan is a master counterfeiter; he will twist everything godly and offer a demonic imitation. Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit people will dance, sing, cry and become slain in the spirit. Some examples are found in 2 Samuel 6:14, Daniel 8:17, Matthew 17:6, Acts 2:1-4, Psalm 98:4, Psalm 100:1-4 and Revelation 1:17. On the other hand, Kundalini will make people shake uncontrollably, bend their bodies into unnatural positions, hiss and crawl like a snake. The most common entry point for this demon is through yoga, which invites the Python spirit and all its familiar spirits with it. I cannot believe that in Christian churches today yoga is being practiced right in the church building. These pastors are opening their church doors wide open to the enemy. While the Holy Spirit is free to do as He pleases, our God is a God of order (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40). He would never create a sideshow that will drive visitors away (verse 23).

New Age Practices: which brings me to the alarming trends I’m noticing being brought into the church. Angel cards, which are supposed to be the clean, holy version of the Tarot. Are you kidding me?! Grave sucking-the act of lying on a person’s grave with the intent of soaking their anointing. This is a twisted interpretation of bible passages referencing the prophets Elijah and Elisha (1 Kings 17:20-22, 2 Kings 4:32-35, 2 Kings 2:9-14). In reality what they are doing is closer to necromancy, which is prohibited (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) I’ve heard of water witching being done during church service. Should you witness any of these occult practices, follow biblical protocol (Matthew 18:15-17, Titus 1:13-14, 2 Timothy 4:2-5, Titus 3:10).

You may be the only one in that church with eyes to see. Please pray for the persons affected. They need deliverance. If these manifestations continue to go unchecked even after the pastor has been advised, ask the Lord to place you in another church. Put on your full armor every morning when you wake and cover yourself with the blood of Christ. We are to be on the offense, not the defense. Do not allow the devil to pull the wool over your eyes. We are instructed to test every spirit (1 John 4:1). I pray this blesses you.

UNEQUALLY YOKED: BRINGING GENERATIONAL CURSES INTO YOUR MARRIAGE

And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father’s (Genesis 31:19).
Reading through Genesis 31, one can glean much wisdom for marriage. Jacob and Rachel’s mistakes can teach us precisely what not to do. A few verses before the one I quoted, Jacob is visited by YHVH in a dream and is told to leave his father in law’s property and go to a land that the Lord had prepared for him. His father in law, Laban, a Syrian, had family idols that he worshipped. I think it’s safe to assume that they were gods that had been adored by his family for generations. His daughter Rachel grew up seeing her family serve these idols and was more than likely taught to believe that these gods were responsible for her family’s prosperity.

When Jacob fled from Laban, his wife, Rachel stole her father’s idols without telling her husband. Already we can see the inappropriate behavior of the wife. There should be no secrets in a marriage. Nor should the wife take it upon herself to make rash decisions that will affect her marriage. A godly wife submits to her husband. Rachel, like her mother in law before her (Genesis 27:5-10) and Eve before her (Genesis 3:6) exhibits the qualities of a Jezebel (please see The Jezebel Spirit).

Further into the story, Laban learns that Jacob has left. Perhaps he would have mourned his two daughters leaving home but would have let Jacob seek his own fortune. However, once Laban learned that his idols had gone missing, he was quick to assume that Jacob had stolen them and went chasing after whom he thought was the thief. That family was in bondage to those demons-just look at their behavior! Now we see that Rachel has pitted her father against her husband. Laban resents Jacob over something he didn’t even do! This is all due to Rachel’s deceitful and manipulative ways.

Laban catches up with Jacob’s caravan and demands that his idols be returned to him. Since Jacob didn’t steal them nor was he aware that his wife was the culprit, he was quick to defend himself. Jacob also spoke in haste and unwittingly sealed his wife’s fate: “With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live.” (Genesis 31:32a) Rachel proves to be quite crafty and is able to hide the idols from her father, again through deceit (Genesis 31:34-35). Laban searches the whole company and does not find his beloved statues. Satisfied that Jacob did not steal them, he lets them be and returns home.

There is a lot to digest here. Jacob was sly and crafty: it is no surprise he fell in love with and married someone with those familiar spirits. Attraction is not only physical-it is indeed spiritual. An Ahab (please refer to The Ahab Spirit) will attract a Jezebel. An alcoholic will attract another who is under the same bondage to the demons of alcohol and addiction. How do psychopathic serial killers recognize one another and join together to prey on their victims? In the spirit. How does a homosexual who is married with children and keeps his sexuality a secret meet and have affairs with other homosexuals? They recognize each other’s familiar spirits.

As for the curse spoken over the thief, who was in fact Jacob’s own wife: Rachel dies during childbirth (Genesis 35:18). Who knows if she would have lived a long life had she not been under that curse? She brought it upon herself, first through stealing and then by lying about it. We reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7). Every decision we make carries its consequences.

Which brings me to the thought that came to mind and inspired me to write this. Rachel brought a generational curse into her marriage. She probably expected to convince her husband to worship those same idols instead of YHWH. It happened time and time again in biblical history. Let us look at this through spiritual eyes. She is dragging those generational chains behind her, putting her new family’s bloodline in bondage. Until generational curses are broken they will continue to wreak havoc on families, from one generation to the next. It’s no coincidence that a family will have a history of alcoholics, adulterers, single mothers, victims of molestation, etc. It is a generational curse, demons that attach themselves to a bloodline and affect each generation.

We need to come clean with ourselves and with God; He knows every dirty little secret anyway. There is no need to enter into a marriage covenant still bound. If you are single, engaged or even if you’re already married: read my post Self Deliverance. Follow each instruction, preferably with your partner. You can both seal those doors behind you with the blood of Christ before walking down the aisle. If you are already married, today is a good day to do this. Your descendants should not suffer the consequences of your ancestors’ sins, or your own. Make sure your children, grandchildren and their descendants inherit a blessed bloodline, bloodwashed and blood bought, free from all generational curses.
May the pact your bloodline makes with the Living God never be broken.

ANOINTING YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

I regularly go on prayer walks, and one day the Holy Spirit gave me this revelation: put olive oil in a flask and keep it handy in order to anoint spots in my neighborhood. (As a prophet having received this revelation, I have to laugh. Looking back, prophets carried anointing oil on them at all times in the bible.) I’ve stood in front of an empty lot where a botanica (Latino witchcraft shop) once operated-the same botanica I had prayed to close down-and poured a few drops of oil on the sidewalk, declaring that space for the Lord. I have done the same in front of bars, liquor stores and other empty lots.

One afternoon, at the Holy Spirit’s prompting I walked the perimeter of a local park and anointed each of the four sides, praying out loud. I then stood in the middle of the park and dedicated it to Christ, assigning warring angels on each side, inside the park and in the bathrooms. As I was crossing the street He told me, “You are not done yet. Now you break every blood covenant and oath made in that park.” So I turned around, stretched out my arm and did just that. I am sure I looked crazy to anyone passing by; be willing to look crazy for the Lord.

FYI, there is a LOT of demonic activity taking place in parks: witchcraft, gang initiations (which involve bloodletting), prostitution, alcoholism, drug abuse, etc. There are specific strongholds over different pockets in every major city. The good news: there is nothing that cannot be covered under the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Take comfort in that truth.

Be cautious and use godly wisdom when doing this. There is a lot of witchcraft in my mostly Latino neighborhood, so I know that the witches and warlocks here were not the least bit happy with my prayer walks. One one occasion, as I was warring in the spirit speaking softly as I walked through my neighborhood, a woman pointed right at me and tried to curse me. Needless to say I rebuked her words! I am sure they must now be fuming over my faithfulness in anointing places and dedicating them to the Lord.

There may be some places so bound and under such dangerous strongholds that you need to spend ample time in fasting and prayer before setting out to anoint that particular location. It would also be wise to have someone accompany just to be safe. Again, though your heart may be in the right place do nothing outside of the will of God. Wait on the Holy Spirit. Always anoint yourself and put on the complete armor before setting out. If you feel led to do this, then by all means take back your neighborhood for Christ, one locale at a time.

Suggested Prayer:

I anoint ___ with the precious blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I now dedicate and declare this site to be washed clean under the blood, to be used for YHVH’s glory. I bind any demonic forces this very instance and order you to leave! Father, keep this area safe and free from demonic activity. I break any and every blood covenant and oath made here. I bind the spirits of (name all the spirits that the Holy Spirit brings to mind) and send them wherever Christ orders you to go. You no longer have any legal rights over this property. I assign warring angels all along the perimeter of this space. Holy Spirit, pour Yourself over this area; reside here. May Your presence be palpable; may the residents here notice the difference. Glorify Yourself in this ____, Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, amen.

FASTING

Fasting simply means abstaining from food. There are several types of fasts mentioned throughout the bible: the Esther fast, the Daniel fast, of course Christ’s forty day fast as well as the fasts regularly done by the apostles, etc. It is important to understand that a fast must be spirit led-otherwise you will simply dieting.

People write to me asking for prayer and seeking deliverance. I always, always advise them to fast so long as it will not affect their health and their doctor has not prohibited it. Each situation is unique, thus the length of each fast varies. Now, I personally believe that in order to fast one must also “fast” from television and social media. I always advise the person to fast from all three for a specified time. If you truly want to hear clearly from God then you must deny your flesh. As you submit your flesh to your spirit you are doing “spiritual exercise”, strengthening your inner man (Ephesians 3:16). So, submitting your flesh also requires pushing away distractions (television and social media) as well as pushing away your plate.

Fasting humbles the soul (Psalm 35:13). Some demons only come out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). It is one of our tactical weapons of warfare against the enemy. It was during a fast that the Holy Spirit gave me this revelation: when you fast, pay attention to the residue that rises to the surface. Residue meaning whatever is not of God-old thought patterns or behaviors you thought you had already modified, bad habits, vices or addictions you had broken that are suddenly calling your name, the urge to contact old friends you know will drag you back down into the mire. The devil is busy; we should be, too.

Be prepared for the enemy’s attacks when you fast. Each attack is a lesson to be learned, an issue that must be addressed, or a door that must be closed. Use his own attack against him. In essence, the devil is giving you insight you most certainly need to overcome. Fasting is critical to achieve this goal.

Fasting requires discipline: your flesh will fight you every step of the way. The first few times are extremely difficult, but it becomes easier. In reality, fasting should be a regular habit for the Christian; I don’t think it’s a coincidence that as the church has stopped fasting as a congregation it has slowly lost its power. Fasting changed circumstances in the bible: Esther chapters 4 and 5, Daniel chapter 10 and Acts chapters 2, 9, 10 and 12, just to name a few. It is the secret to your breakthrough.

So what should you expect on a fast? You will get dehydrated if you do not drink plenty of water: buy yourself a gallon and drink it the entire day. Some will do a liquids only fast, others fast until dinnertime, while others drink only water for a number of days. In some cases, the lack of food being digested will cause constipation. Unless the Holy Spirit specifically orders a water only fast, try to keep your digestive tract lubricated with natural fruit juices or nutritional shakes. Also, your body will crave more carbohydrates for energy; try to avoid eating too much starch and too many carbs. Make sure you eat lean protein and plenty of vegetables with only a side of one or the other.

Expect headaches and a lack of energy on your first few fasts. It’s a shock to the system and your body needs time to adjust. You may become irritable: this is why it is so important to run it by your spouse and receive approval if you are married (1 Corinthians 7:1-5). Again, do not be discouraged. It gets easier over time. And I promise you, it not only makes you more sensitive and in tune to the voice of the Holy Spirit, but it also sharpens your discernment. And as a sheep among wolves (Matthew 10:16) discernment is critical and very necessary.

I suggest a first time fast to be limited in some sense: either fast for three days or fast a whole week but for just six hours a day. As you continue fasting you can go longer without food and it not affect you as much. Again, I cannot emphasize enough that each fast must be spirit led; the Holy Spirit will never steer you wrong. I pray this blesses you.

TO THE WIFE AND MOTHER

The wife is the queen of the castle. She sets the spiritual atmosphere in the home. Please don’t misunderstand: the husband is the head of the household, and the godly wife submits to her husband. What I am saying is that the wife keeps her home clean, comfortable, and inviting, both in the natural and in the spirit, while working a full-time job, herself in many cases. Queen, I want you to realize the essential role you play in your husband’s everyday life. You aren’t just the bookkeeper, maid, chef, and nurse. Your value is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10). I salute you.

Anoint your home on a regular basis. Go from room to room pleading the Blood, asking the Father to assign warring angels to each living space. Anoint your children and your spouse if he permits. If not, anoint his pillow. Bind any demonic activity, loose shalom peace, and call holiness into your home. Pray for your family to keep on the path of righteousness.

Be mindful of who you allow into your home. It is your duty to maintain a godly spiritual atmosphere. I’m not saying to become a hermit, or be rude to anyone your spouse or children invite over. I’m saying that the Holy Spirit should be palpable in the air whenever someone enters your home. They will tell you, believe me.

Make your home inviting for your family. Pray at least a half hour before your children come home from school and then again before your husband comes home from work. Bind all demonic spirits that may have attacked your family during the day. Bind stress, irritability, discord, etc. Loose peace, joy, and harmony into your home.

The enemy loves to wreak havoc in christian homes. When you find yourself arguing with your spouse or kids and notice that one is mishearing the other, know that the devil is using scramblers to cause confusion and strife. Bind the prince of the air (Ephesians 2:2), crush the scramblers underfoot, bind miscommunication, confusion, and strife as you loose understanding, clarity, and peace.
Take authority and watch your home environment improve. You may not notice an immediate change, but with every day that passes, you are defining the spiritual atmosphere of your sanctuary. Your family will remark on how much they love coming home. What a wonderful feeling!

Let me take the time to speak to the single mothers. I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve worked two jobs. It’s highly stressful and exhausting. Your temper may be short, and your patience may run thin. Despite all the hardships, it is a blessing to be a mom. Never forget that. Included in the verses I share are proverbs that speak on disciplining your child. Please remember, even on your worst days: discipline does not equal abuse.

I am a big advocate of fasting. Fast for your home and your family. Just like you clean your home and throw junk out, fasting and praying is a spiritual cleansing and junk removal. Fasting just one day a week, consistently, will reap great rewards.

Read your bible. Keep verses that minister to you on paper or in your electronic device. Read them aloud; let the enemy hear you. Remind him of God’s promises for your family. Take comfort in those verses. Strive to be the Proverbs 31 woman: eshet chayil-a warrior, a woman of valor. You have an opportunity to make an impact in your family’s lives. You are the quiet hero of your home. Bless you, Queen, as you wear your invisible crown. May the Lord give you the grace, strength, and loving kindness to serve in your kingdom.

ANOINTING OIL

So what exactly is anointing oil and how is it used? Anointing oil was used by the prophets in biblical times to do just that: anoint new kings. It was also used by Levites in temple service. Reference to using anointing oil to pray for the sick is made in the new testament, as well (James 5:14.) Today, members of the charismatic denomination use it to anoint themselves and their homes.

Anointing oil is used as a contact point between believers and YHVH. It is strictly in a symbolic sense: there is nothing special about the oil itself, it simply represents the precious blood of Christ. That being said, let me first tackle the most common question: do I need to purchase special oil sold through a ministry?

The better question would be, should you? And the answer is no. Most of these ministries selling special anointing oil will refer to a recipe in Exodus 30:22-25. This verse specifically states that the oil was used by Levites to minister to the Lord (Exodus 30:26-33). The same goes for special recipe incense (verses 34-38). It is a very specific recipe that was only to be mixed and used by the Levites in the tabernacle for the honor and glory of God. YHVH strictly forbid the exact recipe to be used by anyone else outside of His holy temple. Some christians believe that under the new covenant we are God’s temple and can use this oil. I beg to differ. So then, what can I use to anoint myself and my home?

You can buy a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from your local supermarket. Remember, there is absolutely nothing special about the oil itself. It is just symbolic. Pray over it, offer it up to YHVH and ask Him to bless it, cover it with the blood of Jesus and you’re good to go. From what I have studied and discerned the oil used to anoint kings, prophets and the sick later on was simply pure extra virgin oil. Some christians don’t see the point in anointing themselves or their homes, but as someone who is called into the deliverance ministry and faces spiritual warfare on a regular basis I can attest to its benefits. Think of it as an extra lock on the door (Exodus 12:7, Leviticus 8:10, Ezekiel 43:20).

Whenever you move into a new space or purchase property, anoint that space (walk the perimeter of the property and anoint each side) and remit the sins committed there by the previous owner/resident. Break any curses spoken over it and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any cursed objects left behind, either deliberately or by mistake. Lastly, assign guardian angels around the perimeter of your property and inside your home.

How do you anoint your home? First, anoint yourself: dab some olive oil on your forehead and simply say, “I cover myself with the blood of Christ.” You can carry the bottle around with you from room to room or you can pour some out into your hand and dip your finger in it. A simple dab will do. Anoint the floors and all four corners of each room. Anoint each mirror and window. Anoint each bed and pillow. Anoint your television and computer screens, plus your Ipod, Ipad and tablet. Anoint the walls and floors of each closet. Anoint both sides of each door, as well as all four sides of the thresholds, left and right, top and bottom.

If you have children anoint their toys and books. It doesn’t have to be one by one (though I do recommend it): you can anoint their toy chest and bookcase. Each time you anoint repeat, “I cover (object) with the blood of Christ.” During the process the Holy Spirit may bring your attention to a certain object that He is telling you to get rid of. Be obedient. When you are done, say out loud and with authority, “Any presence not of the Lord Jesus Christ, every squatter and scavenger must leave my home right now. You have no legal right over my family/me. Leave and never return.”

It would be wonderful if this is the one and only time that you will ever need to anoint your home, but with guests, unsaved loved ones and our own pet sins we need to put down you can be certain the spiritual atmosphere in your home will need regular cleansing. Fasting and prayer will also work wonders for your home’s spiritual atmosphere. Submit your flesh to your spirit and live a life of holiness. I pray this blesses you.

SPOKEN BLESSING OVER CHILDREN

I watched a pastor in the church I attended at the time anoint and pronounce a blessing over the newborn babies brought to the altar. Seven years later I presented my second child to the Lord; he was two years old at the time. It was after the pastor and congregation of this new church prayed over my little one that I remembered the blessing I had witnessed years before. By this time my older son was fifteen, and the Holy Spirit had revealed to me that fifteen was the age in which strongholds took over in my bloodline. So I had my older son hold his two year old brother in his arms as I prayed this specific prayer over my little one first; afterwards I anointed my older boy and declared this same blessing over him, as well. Firstborn children especially need to be dedicated to YHVH. Remember, Satan takes every thing godly and creates a twisted and perverse counterfeit. Just as the Lord declared all firstborn to Himself (Exodus 13:2, 34:19), so will the enemy try to do with our children. Be proactive in your faith; use all your weapons of warfare against the enemy (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Whenever I read the bible I have at least three different versions open to compare translations. I find it interesting that the word “dedicate” in 1 Chronicles 26:27 is translated as “holy, set apart” in another version. When you dedicate your child to the Lord you are setting him apart to the Living God. Throughout the bible YHWH enters into covenant with His followers; put your children in covenant with the Lord today. I pray this blesses you.

Suggested Prayer: (Anoint each part of your child’s body as you pray over him.) Father, I come boldly before Your throne of grace and humbly present my child (say your child’s name) to You. I enter into a covenant with You, my Lord and Savior, and dedicate (set apart as holy and sanctified) my child unto You. I plead the precious blood of Jesus over him and dress him in the complete armor of Christ: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate and robes of righteousness, the garments of salvation and praise, the belt of truth, the cloak of zeal, shoes in preparation for the gospel of peace, double edged sword of the spirit in one hand and shield of faith in the other. Heavenly Father, assign guardian angels over my child to watch over and protect him every day of his life.

Right now I pray over his mind: guard his thoughts, sharpen his wisdom and discernment. Keep him in perfect peace as his mind is stayed on thee. I pray over his tongue: teach my child to think before he speaks. May his words be seasoned with grace, always.

Lord, I pray over his heart: may he grow to be kind, considerate and merciful. May his heart be given solely to the mate You have created specifically for him. I remove the harlot (or predator, if you’re praying for your daughter) from his path. I pray blessings over his marriage; I declare a godly wife and godly children who will serve You.

I pray over his hands: may these hands never be idle. May these hands never lack work and always be able to provide for his family. May my child’s hands never shed blood, and may his blood never be shed.

Father, I pray over my child’s legs. Make them strong, YHVH, in order to stand guard over himself and his family. May his knee bend always in prayer and supplication and bow only to You.

Lastly, Father, I pray over my child’s feet. May his feet stay on the path You have designed for him, and may they never wander, stray or veer from it. Keep his feet from ever stepping into the enemy’s traps. Open doors for him that no man can close and seal shut those doors that no man should ever open.

I pronounce this blessing over (say your child’s name) in complete confidence as I put him in Your faithful hands. May the pact this bloodline has made with You never be broken. I seal this prayer in the mighty name and with the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.

MORNING PRAYER

Father, I cover my family, friends, neighbors, church family, social media families and myself with the precious blood of Jesus. I put the full armor on us, head to toe, front and back. I cancel every plan, attack and assignment of the enemy for us all today in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Put a hedge of protection around us-the wall of fire as stated in Zechariah 2:5. Protect our eye gates and ear gates. I cover every home, school, business, workplace and method of transportation with the blood of Christ. Heavenly Father, please assign guardian angels to surround each property and method of transportation. Take us safely to our destination, bring us safely back home.Father, protect us from the evil one. Give us this day our daily bread, and help us to forgive others so that You may forgive us. I pray we are light in the darkness. I bless our food today and break any curses spoken over it. I cast out any harmful item placed in our food, whether in the natural or in the spirit. Protect us from all witchcraft, Lord; reveal to us any witch looking to do harm and deal with them swiftly. Remove any ungodly “friends” from our path and replace them with godly friendships. We are blessed in the city and blessed in the field. In the precious name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.

THE FULL ARMOR

Be sure to dress in your full armor every morning. Dress your spouse and children, as well. (Bible verses taken from the KJV.)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done, to stand. Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God-Ephesians 6:10-17

Lets take a closer look at this armor. First of all, the Apostle Paul is referring to the armor of the Roman soldier. Remember, Israel was under Roman occupancy, so the reference may have made some of his followers bristle. Nonetheless, it was an excellent example of a soldier ready for combat, as we are called to be (2 Timothy 2:3-4, 1 Timothy 1:18, 1 Peter 1:13, Psalm 18:39, Psalm 144:1, Proverbs 24:11, Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:9).

The belt of Truth (John 14:6) gave the soldier extra support, much like the belt that movers and weight lifters wear. The helmet covered the entire face, showing only the eyes, while also providing shade from the sun and protection for the nape of the neck. Our helmet must be put firmly in place by taking every thought captive to Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

The shield was as large as the man using it and was covered in pitch or water in an effort to make it flame resistant. Thus, our shield of faith is as resistant to the flaming arrows of the enemy as it is heavy; much like the arm holding it needing to be strong, our faith must be strong enough to carry our shield.

The Roman soldier’s sandals were not like your average sandals; these had spikes, like today’s soccer shoes. While our spiritual shoes are those of peace, we must be prepared for resistance.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart-Hebrews 4:12

The breastplate of faith and love and the helmet of the hope of salvation are also found in 1 Thessalonians 5:8, which I believe were references to Psalm 33:20-22

The garment of praise is found in Isaiah 61:3

The garments of salvation and the robe of righteousness are found in Isaiah 61:10

The cloak of zeal is found in Isaiah 59:17 (The robe of vengeance found in this same verse is not for us to put on, since vengeance belongs to the Lord, as stated in Deuteronomy 32:35).
